Connetix | Pastel Pink + Berry Base Plate

Ask anyone whose child is deep into magnetic tiles and they'll tell you the same thing: the builds get ambitious long before they get stable. Base plates are the fix. Two 30cm x 30cm plates — one pink, one berry — give every creation a proper foundation, so towers go taller and castles stop collapsing at the exciting part.

The magnet points run right across each plate, which means tiles lock in wherever your child decides the walls should go. Line the two plates up side by side and you've got a generous 60cm build surface: room for a small world, a multi-level dollhouse, a maze, or a whole town with streets between the buildings.

They also make packing up easier. A build on a base plate can be lifted, moved and set down again on a shelf or in a corner — which, on the days when a masterpiece absolutely cannot be dismantled, is worth a great deal.

Why we love it

Builds that stay standing
A stable foundation means children spend their time building rather than rescuing. Fewer collapses, more perseverance, and considerably fewer tears at the tricky stage.

Twice the footprint
Two plates connect together for a 60cm building surface, or split between two children so siblings can each have their own patch of floor. Very useful on a rainy afternoon.

Move a masterpiece without wrecking it
Pick the plate up and the build comes with it. Dinner can happen, the lounge can be tidied, and the castle survives to be added to tomorrow.

Built safe, built to last
All Connetix base plates are made from non-toxic ABS plastic — BPA and phthalate-free, ultrasonically sealed and riveted for added safety and durability. Compatible with the entire Connetix range. Recommended for builders aged 3 and up.
