Breastfeeding Buddy

The Breastfeeding Buddy is your go-to product to help with breastfeeding positioning. It sits underneath your breast and is designed to lift the breast and nipple into the optimal feeding position.

You may have heard from a lactation consultant or midwife to use a rolled flannel to help lift your breast into the right position to assist with your baby's latch or support you to be more comfortable during feeds. The Buddy is going to give you a much more comfortable and supportive option that won't unravel or move once placed under your breast. The silicone outer provides a gripped surface to stay in place and support your breast without moving or being compressed over time, meaning you can shape your breast correctly every time.

The Buddy relieves stress on the breast tissue and supporting muscles, improves posture and frees up a hand. This makes feeding time a better and less stressful experience for you and your baby.

Each Buddy comes with a custom size neoprene storage bag for safe keeping.

Sizing

Nipple Elevation

The nipple elevations in this illustration can assist when finding the right sized Buddy for you in the sizing chart above. If you are on the cusp of two different sized Buddy's and your nipples are sitting between the 40 to 90 degree angle range, consider the larger sized Buddy of the two. Please note that this illustration is a general guideline and may not be applicable to every individual.

Use your current bra cup size to help determine the best size Buddy for you.

A-D cup = Small Buddy

DD-G cup = Medium Buddy

H+ cup = Large Buddy

Breast sizes and shapes can change during a single feeding session and they can also change significantly throughout your feeding journey.

There will be situations where you may be on the cusp of 2 different sized Buddy's. You may find that having 2 different sizes will enable you to get the full support when you need it as you fluctuate or change in size.

Please note: cup sizes are based on NZ standard sizing.

Use

Place the buddy under the breast when breastfeeding. The Buddy will elevate the nipple to a more optimal angle to make feeding easier for your little one and more comfortable for you.

Care

• If your Buddy gets sweaty, milky or fluffy from your diaper bag, give it a wash!
• Between feeds simply rinse with water (cold, warm or boiling).
• Safe to use in the steriliser (both steam and UV).
• Wipe your Buddy dry and keep it protected in the neoprene bag provided.
