There's a stage — and for some children it never really ends — where everything has to move. Trucks at breakfast, diggers in the bath, a running commentary on every vehicle that goes past the car window. The Connetix Bright Transport Pack is built squarely for that child.

Fifty pieces, and the clever part is what they're built around: a one-of-a-kind reversible transport base plus two clear motion bases on real rubber wheels. That's three things rolling at once — an engine and its carriages, a truck and a trailer, a whole rescue convoy. The shape mix backs it up, with small rectangles for chassis and sides, open squares for cargo bays and cab doors, square windows for windscreens, and triangles for scoops, ramps and rooflines.

The builds run properly across the floorboards, throwing bright colour as they go. And because it connects with every other Connetix pack, the fleet gets bigger one birthday at a time.

Why we love it

Three bases, not one
Most vehicle packs give you a single set of wheels. A reversible transport base plus two motion bases means a train with carriages, a truck with a trailer, or three vehicles racing each other the length of the hallway.

Engineering, discovered the useful way
Build it too tall and it topples. Load it unevenly and it veers off course. Children work out balance, weight and stability by testing it themselves and having another go.

Play that goes somewhere
Once a build can move, it needs a destination — cargo to deliver, a rescue to get to, a road trip across the lounge. That's where the long, properly absorbed stretches of play come from.
