Colloidal oatmeal has been used as a natural bath soak for hundreds of years to soothe dry, itchy, irritated skin caused by conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, chicken pox, bug bites and nappy rash.
When used in a bath soak, the natural oat proteins leave a barrier on the skin that helps prevent water loss and retains moisture to the skin. A colloidal oat bath soak soothes itchiness by bringing the pH level of itchy skin back to normal.
Add 2 heaped tablespoons of Frankie Apothecary Colloidal Oat Soak to a partially filled bath of luke warm water.
Soak for 10 minutes (prolonged soaking could further dry out your skin).
Pat skin dry.
For itchy skin, apply Kawakawa Balm within three minutes to lock in moisture. For normal skin or as a baby oil, you may prefer Kawakawa Body Oil for a lighter moisturising layer.
Organic Avena Sativa (oat) kernel flour.
