Goat milk is generally gentler on babies' tummies than cow's milk, and has been known to ease constipation for several reasons. Goat milk naturally contains A2 casein protein — with less than half the A1 casein found in cow's milk. In many babies (and adults), A1 protein can trigger digestive issues including bloating, constipation, wind, and discomfort. Goat milk is also lower in lactose than cow's milk, and contains naturally occurring oligosaccharides (prebiotics) that support healthy digestion. If you're transitioning from breastmilk or another formula, it's normal for babies to experience some temporary gas or constipation for up to two weeks while they adjust.

While LittleOak is not certified organic, the fresh whole goat milk we use is farmed using organic practices — free from GMOs, pesticides, and growth hormones, and produced using environmentally sustainable methods. LittleOak's stage recommendations are based on your baby's nutritional needs at each age: Stage 1 is for 0–6 months, Stage 2 for 6–12 months, and Stage 3 for 12 months and beyond. That said, Stage 1 Infant Formula is also fine to continue using up to 12 months of age if that suits your baby.
